The Drive
Every August, RNSLA sets a goal: fill as many backpacks as possible with everything a South LA student needs to start the school year strong. Pencils, notebooks, calculators, headphones, lunch boxes — the whole list, for kids who might not have it otherwise.
This year our target is 500 fully-stocked backpacks. We need volunteers to pack, donors to fund supplies, and sponsors to help us go even further. The drive runs from 11 AM to 3 PM, with distribution following at partner schools and community centers across South LA.
What to Expect
Backpack packing stations for volunteers
Supply donation drop-off at the door
Community barbecue for all volunteers
Distribution coordination with partner schools
Photo and social media coverage of the event
Who Can Participate
The supply drive is open to:
RNSLA members and volunteers
Individual and corporate donors
Community members who want to help pack and distribute
Donations accepted online in advance or in person at the event.
